This Saturday, June 20, is World Refugee Day. Refugees around the world are facing tremendous challenges due to the spread of the pandemic and the increasing unwillingness of countries to host them, including the United States.
Take action today: Urge Congress to revitalize U.S. support for refugees
We join our interfaith partners in calling on Congress to take several, key steps to strengthen U.S. support for refugees, including raising the number of refugees admitted to the U.S. annually – currently at a historic low – and financially supporting refugee communities during the pandemic. We know that refugees contribute greatly to U.S. communities and that welcoming refugees is one way we can live out our biblical call to "welcome the stranger."
