These are critical days for immigrants in the United States. Congress has only days left to take action to protect immigrants.
Take action now: Tell Congress to protect immigrants
We invite you once again to send a message to your Members of Congress telling them we need to care for the migrant and the refugee, the Dreamer and the TPS holder, and we need comprehensive immigration reform.
We also want to share with you our statement on President Trump's recent comments on immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and Africa.
"Maryknoll unequivocally condemns these shameful statements. To characterize in this way whole countries – whose peoples are largely nonwhite – can only be understood as bigoted and racist. President Trump’s stated preference for immigrants from nations such as Norway, and his failure to unequivocally denounce the racist and anti-Semitic actions of white supremacists in Charlottesville, reveal an abhorrent racism that must be loudly condemned by all people of faith. As Dr. King, whose dream and life commitment we celebrate this week, said: 'A time comes when silence is betrayal.'"

Thank you for your support and all you do for the vulnerable and marginalized in your community. Pray for peace, pray for justice for immigrants.
