January 11 marks the 12th anniversary of the opening of the detention facility at the U.S. Navy Base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
On Friday, January 10, the National Religious Coalition Against Torture asks that you send an email to President Obama, to thank him for the administration’s recent positive actions on Guantanamo and to urge him to act quickly and decisively and close Guantanamo.

Prayer Circle to Close Guantanamo
Saturday, January 11 - held anywhere at 12 p.m.
WHAT: Join a prayer circle calling for the closure of the Guantanamo Detention Center. Your prayers can be a reading, meditation, reflection, etc. Lifting up in prayer the detained men, and the need for the United States to be a leader in human rights, and for the president to act quickly to close Guantanamo, etc.
