Right now, Congress is deliberating about budget priorities for the rest of Fiscal Year 2021, as current federal funding is set to expire on December 11. Among other urgent priorities is the need to provide additional funding for refugee resettlement and assistance for refugee families for the year ahead.
Take action: Urge Congress to provide generous funding for vulnerable refugee families
The incoming Biden-Harris administration has promised to raise the number of refugees admitted to the U.S. annually to 125,000 – a significant increase from the admission goals set in the last four years. In the midst of a pandemic, and with this new goal, it is critical that Congress provide generous funding for refugee resettlement and refugee families already living in the United States.
