Scientists agree that dramatic action must be taken in phasing out fossil fuels to prevent global catastrophe. The National Oceans and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) latest numbers on the year 2024 confirm that global surface temperature ranked warmest in the 175-year record at 1.28°C above the 20th century average.

UN Secretary General António Guterres declared: “the era of global boiling has arrived…. Climate change is here. It is terrifying. And it is just the beginning.” But he added in the same breath: “It is still possible to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C and avoid the very worst of climate change. But only with dramatic, immediate climate action.”

We invite you to ask your state legislature to also become part of the climate solution by signing on to the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. Over a million individuals, hundreds of cities and states, and countries around the world have taken the same pledge to:

  • End expansion of any new coal, oil or gas production
