Lawmakers announced this past May HR3103: Defending the Human Rights of Palestinian Children and Families Act, which will prevent U.S. taxpayer funding of military detention of Palestinian children and other violations of international humanitarian law. This came one month after the number of Palestinians held in administrative detention, without trial, surpassed a two-decade record. Among these were ten children between the ages of 16-18.
We reported the escalating violence in the Holy Land in the May-June edition of News Notes. The year 2022 was one of the deadliest years on record, and this year is set to surpass the last.
True peace and reconciliation cannot be achieved by denying to children their human dignity, or by violations of international humanitarian law. Use the form below to tell Congress to support the Defending the Human Rights of Palestinian Children and Families Act.
